Students Showcase STEM Project at Statewide Expo

Students from Charles F. Hard Elementary School presented their "Whack-A-Mole" project at the 2025 Girls Engaged in Math and Science (GEMS) Expo at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. The students, part of the school's Ram Nation GEMS program, shared their project with other GEMS participants from across the state, demonstrating their creativity and problem-solving skills, school officials said. The students participated in hands-on learning and STEM activities during the expo, which was held at the botanical gardens. School officials praised the students' dedication and innovation in STEM, as well as the parents who provided support and ensured the students arrived at school for an early departure.
