Middle School Students Honored for International Science Win

Sixth-grade students from Bessemer City Middle School were honored by the Jefferson County Commission for their international victory in the Fall 2024 "Plant the Moon Challenge." The challenge, hosted by the Institute of Competition Sciences, recognized the students' work, led by Dr. Yuvraj Verma and Farrah Cureton. School officials thanked Principal Dr. Lisa Heard for her support and Assistant Principal Sarah Person for attending the commission event. Millie Diliberto was thanked for the invitation.
